Roving Reporter Report
The first thing we did this morning after we hung up our backpacks was we read a silly story about a poor horse farmer who didn’t have money to pay his taxes. The next thing we did is we read our pre-writing and wrote our vocabulary words. Then we talked about drawing conclusions. After that we predicted and Noah said, “I think the girl in the story “Raising Dragons,” is going to get a dragon.
After that, we took a spelling pre-test. Next, we talked about the /j/ sound, the /k/ sound, and the /kw/ sound. Once we finished, we talked about present time and singular subjects right before snack. After that, we switched to Mr. Martin’s room. Then we took a math test and corrected it. When that was over we talked about rotations. Then we went out to lunch. After we got back in we watched Atom and Quark talk about the 8 major planets, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, and Mercury. Then we went out to last recess. After we got back in, we got our homework and went home.

We changed our classroom desks in Math class. We do expanded notation. We have a lot to do like multiplication, plus and subtract. We had a lot to do like Mountain Math. It’s great! We read then we switched. We will go to Ms. Stobaugh’s class. Then in a little bit we go to recess. Then we read again. The bell rang, it was really loud and it hurts our ears. It’s second recess. We have to learn then it will be last recess. Then we will go home, and then do homework. Then my and my brother play a game called Proving Grounds and another games called Skate. Tune in next time.

What we have learned today. First, we learned the sounds for ar, ir, or, and ur. For example, clear was in column ir but it was spelled ear. Afterwards, we did practice book page 157 and 163-165. When we did those pages it talked about sounds for ar, ir, or, and ur. Once we finished we went to recess.
Then we switched. When we switch we go into Mr. Martin or Ms. Stobaugh’s room. Once that was done we did Mountain Math. Mountain Math is when we do a lot of math. When that was over we talked about our classroom behavior charts. We talked about the ones we had. After that we had lunch. Next, we did science. During science, we learned about the stars. When we finished, We had recess again. Following, we did P.E. Finally, we went home.
I have added a new link on the math games page, under multiplication. Play them and let me know what you think.
